The Rosetta LeNoire Musical Theatre Academy
AUDITIONS
GENERAL INFORMATION
WHO CAN AUDITION?
Any student in the NYC area who is between the ages of 12-18 and is interested in participating in an exciting and rigorous Musical Theatre training program.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE AUDITIONS?
Students can submit a self-tape as an audition and schedule an interview that will take place over Zoom. Please use this LINK to register and set up an appointment
DO I NEED TO PREPARE ANYTHING?
We ask that you prepare a song and a monologue. The song can be in any genre or style (pop, hip hop, rock, musical theatre, etc.), so long as it is a song you are excited to sing! The monologue can be from a play, film, tv, or even a recited poem. So long as your selections show us your talent and who you are, we will be happy to see them!
WHEN DOES THE ACADEMY BEGIN?
Classes for the Academy begin on February 10th, 2024.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ACADEMY?
The curriculum of the program is based around the rehearsal of a musical from the American Musical Theatre canon. This session, students will be working on the musical STARMITES! Students develop their voice, dance, and acting skills while preparing for a culminating run of performances at an Off-off Broadway theatre.
WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT?
Every Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm through the beginning of May 2024, with tech and performances of the final production on April 29th – May 5th. Some Sunday rehearsals may be scheduled as well.
